Tonight is supposed to be bottling night at my house, but as of yesterday the pumpkin ale was still bubbling at a pretty good rate. I'm not even going to take a gravity reading until it slows some more. So for now we're on hold.

I've got 4 small kids and a wife and a hobby that requires more time than I often have to spare. Here are the chronicles of my attempts to brew beer on the schedule of a full time employee, full time dad and now full time tee ball coach.

For a porter, I enjoy a nice vanilla flavor. But be careful... Too much vanilla will over power even the most robust porter. I'd try adding it in the secondary.
